Abdullah hasan builds an apartheid wall between the umma and the quran, and "burns" the quran. Nabi muhammad through the quran addresses muslims, christians, jews, athiests...
muslims champion the quran, transgenerationally we receive certain readings of the quran - we have every rught to brutally interigate these readings.
Sooyooti in his tafsiir is faulted by scholars, there are allegations that sooyooti was politically an alawi...
interpretation should not be elitized, yes expertise does have its advantages.
for example here in south africa very learned lawyers crfafted racist law and very learned judges expanded this law through the courts - this shows that expertise does not gaurantee correctness.
with regards to Sooyooti's knowledges(pl) the question is "so what and what next"
at times in the world of classical tafsiir one gets the feeling of ad nauseam repetition, one actually gets sick.
what about Ibnu taymiyua's take on Razi -
